A Spring Guided Walk

Sunday, 2 November @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

To avoid the hot weather the guides have chosen a ‘Rainforest Ramble’ as the theme for the next walk at 8.30am November 2nd, .  Come & enjoy the cool shade of the trees & the abundant bird life, but remember to bring insect spray, hat & wear comfortable shoes.  One of the featured trees will be the Norfolk Is Hibiscus, Lagunaria patersonia.  Another common name is the Itchy Bomb Tree & for a very good reason. The white fibres in the seed capsule can cause skin irritation.  You will also be able to listen for the unmistakable call of the Wompoo Pigeon often seen in the numerous fig trees at this time of year.  These will be some of the sights & sounds to enjoy on the walk.

Meet at the large shelter shed near the entrance to the gardens.
Sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, closed in shoes and a bottle of water are all recommended. Dogs on leads are welcome.
