Guest Speaker – 6.30pm – Adam Woodhams
Topic: How to attract younger people to gardens
For generations skills such as gardening and cooking have been passed on within the family. It was a generational transfer of accumulated wisdom, happening by osmosis while spending time in the garden or kitchen with parents or grandparents. The last generation or two has seen this all change with gardening. Knowledge sharing that was once common place has become rare.  Today, many people hold an interest in gardening yet lack the basic knowledge and skills to get them into a garden lifestyle.

How can we bridge this gap and bring these lost generations to gardening?
How do we make gardening relevant and restart this cycle?
How do we turn a spark of interest into a lifelong Passions?

Adam has a Diploma in Horticulture and Sustainability and has worked as a writer, magazine editor, photographer, video producer, radio host and public speaker.

Meeting will close at 8pm.
